Jose O. Delgado, MD

With Marion Heart Center for nearly a decade, Dr. Delgado is an Internal Medicine specialist excited to help every patient who walks through the door. Born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Dr. Delgado attended Miami Dade College and the University of Miami. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic.
After completing his residency at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Dr. Delgado practiced Internal Medicine in Miami from 1992 until 2004; and has been at Marion Heart Center since 2004. Fluent in Spanish and English, Dr. Delgado is an authority on Venefit ™ Targeted Endovenous Therapy and is a critical asset to this practice.
Dr. Delgado enjoys spending his time off with his family and friends, traveling, reading, and watching sports on TV.

Luisa Mena, MD
Specialty: Primary Care
Dr. Luisa Mena was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from State University of New York at Albany. Dr. Mena received her medical degree from Universidad Ibero Americana in the Dominican Republic.
After completing her medical degree in 2005, Dr. Mena began her medical career in the medical research field, dedicating her time to phase 1 clinical research trials. Dr. Mena completed her rotational internship in San Lucas Hospital in Puerto Rico.
Dr. Mena currently works for Marion Physician Associates, P.A. providing primary care. She enjoys spending her time off with family, reading, listening to music, and gardening.

Marta Bonkowski, MD.PH.D.
Dr. Marta Bonkowski was born in Poland and graduated from Silesian Medical School in Katowice with a degree of Medical Doctor. She became employed by University Hospital in Silesia. She combined patient care with research and teaching of medical students. Dr. Bonkowski obtained her PhD degree within a few years of work for research related to diabetes.
After relocation to USA and completion of Residency Program in Internal Medicine at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, she continued her medical career at her own solo practice. She enjoyed working with patients and other practitioners for over 20 years; for her work with residents and medical students she was nominated as Associate Clinical Professor of medicine by Michigan State University.
Dr. Bonkowski is a recipient of many awards for quality of care and patient’s satisfaction from insurance companies, Hospitals, and local media.
In her free time she enjoyed traveling to Great Lakes, MI, Florida, and other states as well as abroad. She likes to swim, jog, and garden.
Dr. Bonkowski and her husband are proud of having 2 children and 2 grandchildren; they both enjoy spending free time with them.
